Contemporary Performing Arts Dance Ages 7-12

Summer Session 2024

Jun 12, 2024 – Jul 17, 2024

Rehearsals in the SLO Senior Center | 1445 Santa Rosa St., San Luis Obispo

This unique and contemporary dance experience offers students a dynamic approach to storytelling through movement. Under Genevieve’s guidance, participants explore the interpretation of music through individual expression, fostering a deep connection between emotion and dance. The class curriculum is designed to cater to all skill levels, making it an inclusive space for beginners and experienced dancers alike. Students not only refine their dance techniques but also discover and enhance their personal artistic voices, leading to increased confidence and self-expression. Genevieve’s supportive teaching style encourages students to push their boundaries, creating a nurturing environment for artistic growth.

At the end of this 6-week session, students will showcase their progress in a choreographed dance performance. This event serves as a celebration of individual and collective achievements, providing a platform for students to share their unique stories through the universal language of dance. This performance will be for any friends and family to watch at the Senior Center on the last day of the session from 5:30-6:30pm.
